New England weather is hard on flat surfaces. Concrete and pavers hold moisture, shade grows algae, and by the third or fourth year everything has gone green-gray. It happens slowly enough that most people forget what the driveway looked like new.
We pressure wash hard surfaces and use lower pressure on softer ones, because blasting a deck or a paver joint does more harm than good. Oil stains get pre-treated with degreaser before anything else happens.

Pressure washing and soft washing are not the same thing
Pressure washing uses water force to remove what's stuck to a hard surface. It's the right tool for concrete, pavers, brick and stone, which can take the pressure without damage.
Soft washing uses low pressure plus a cleaning solution, and it's what siding, roofs and painted wood get instead. High pressure on those surfaces is how people end up with water behind their siding or stripped paint. If you're not sure which one your house needs, ask. We'll tell you honestly, even when it's the cheaper job.

How we price pressure washing
Every surface is quoted on its own, because a short front walkway and a long paver driveway are nothing alike. Size, surface type and how much buildup there is set the price. Oil stains and heavy moss cost more because they take more time, not because the number gets made up on the spot.
Booking more than one surface at a time costs less than booking them separately, since the setup is the same either way. Most people do the driveway and front walkway together.

How often should a driveway be washed?
About once a year for most. If you're under heavy tree cover or you've got oil spots, twice.
Will pressure washing wreck my deck?
We turn the pressure down for wood and work with the grain. Your deck comes out clean and ready for stain once it's dry.
Do I need to be home?
No, as long as we can get to the area and an outdoor spigot. Leave the gate unlocked if the yard is fenced.
Do you pressure wash siding?
No. Siding gets soft washed instead, which is low pressure plus a cleaning solution. See our house washing page.
How long do results last?
On sealed concrete, roughly a year to a year and a half before the algae starts coming back.
